Broken and Beautiful

Kintsugi is an old Japanese art. Broken pottery is not thrown away but repaired with gold-coloured lacquer. The cracks become the most beautiful part of a bowl or cup. That idea is hidden inside Broken and Beautiful, a small card game you play in about fifteen minutes. You collect cards with bowls, cups and teapots and try to make nice sets from them. But not everything stays whole. Now and then something breaks, and then you face a choice: do you leave it, or do you mend it with a golden repair? Intact pottery scores points. Broken pieces are worth nothing. But what has broken and then been mended is the most precious of all. Broken and Beautiful is made for two to four players aged twelve and up. Ideal for a quiet evening at the table, where together you choose what to keep and what to let shine again.
