The rules are fairly simple, so the game is also very suitable for people who do not have much experience with board games.

In Bosbuit you use 16 cards to build your own 4 by 4 forest. Each player starts with 1 animal card. Every round there are 4 face-up cards: 3 forest paths and 1 animal. They are all linked to one of the advisors: the rooster, the armadillo, the goat and the rabbit. Players take turns choosing 1 card, which they must place, and they also carry out the action of the matching advisor.

Their goal is to build forest paths for their animals that lead to those animals' favourite food. Because every animal has its own preferences, that is not so easy. After 15 rounds the game ends and everyone counts the points they score for their animals. Whoever has the most points wins Bosbuit!

Expansions and variants
If the game feels a bit too simple after a few plays and there are two of you, try the expert mode. You start with 2 animals, you choose 2 animals each round and your forest may grow to 8 by 4. Now you can really show how good your planning skills are!
