Two players, a handful of cards and a duel that can go either way. In Blade Rondo: Frost Veil you pick just seven cards for your fight, and that is exactly where the tension lies. Every choice counts, every turn can turn the tide. You can play it on its own as a complete game, or combine it with the original Blade Rondo for even more options. What is new in this edition is the freezing of cards. You can hold a card's effect for a moment and let it strike on a later turn. That gives you the chance to think ahead and surprise your opponent at just the right moment. It feels like a game of cat and mouse in which you keep trying to look a little further ahead than the other player. Would you rather play alone? You can. The box contains cards and rules for a solo variant, with its own mechanics that you will not find anywhere else. So you can pick up the game on a quiet evening too, just for yourself. In twenty minutes you are right in the middle of a tough match, with or without an opponent across from you.
