Picture a sunny afternoon, friends around you and a table full of cards. That is exactly the feeling of Biergarten. This brisk card game takes about twenty minutes and fits perfectly into a relaxed moment together. All 64 cards are drawn with care, full of alpine atmosphere and cosy terraces. In Biergarten you step into the role of a starting restaurant owner who keeps expanding his outdoor terrace. You lay down cards and make sure the colours line up nicely. For every colour that matches, you score points. If you manage to link all four colours, that earns you a bonus. Do watch out for the little walls on the cards, because they block the colours. But if you close off your whole biergarten with an unbroken wall, you pick up a big bonus. The first player to reach fifteen points sets the final round in motion. Everyone then gets one more turn to try to overtake them. That keeps things exciting right to the end, and you will soon be up for another round.
