Ark Nova

In Ark Nova, you build and manage a modern zoo. You place enclosures, bring in animals and support conservation projects to earn points. The goal of the game is to develop the most successful zoo, increasing both your attraction value and your contribution to conservation. Once these two tracks intersect on the scoreboard, the game ends and the player with the highest score wins.

About the game

The game does not consist of fixed rounds, but players take turns performing an action until a pause is triggered. Players choose an action from five options each time, with the position of the action card determining the power of the action.

1. Cards: Draw new cards (animals, sponsors, or conservation projects) to reinforce your strategy.
2. Building: Build enclosures in your zoo to accommodate animals. You can also build kiosks and pavilions for extra income.
3. Animals: Play animal cards to place them in your zoo. Animals increase your attraction value and can provide special bonuses.
4. Collaboration: Send your employees to the covenant board to build partnerships with universities and zoos or support conservation projects.
5. Sponsors: Activate sponsor effects or get extra money by moving the pause meter.

During the game, you earn money and bonuses through clever actions and coherent card combinations. By increasing your attraction value and conservation points, you get closer to victory.

The game ends as soon as a player's score tiles touch on the scoreboard. Then a final scoring takes place and the player with the highest final score wins.

Ark Nova offers many strategic choices and replayability due to the different maps and zoo layouts.
