You guide your civilization through the chaos of gods and mortals, on the way to a glorious victory. The great thing about this game is that you decide how it plays out. Do you want a solid war game with battles and conquest? That works. Would you rather explore, build cities, trade and spread faith without too much fighting? That is fine too. The mood at the table sets the direction, and it can be different from one evening to the next. You play with up to six people, but on your own you will get plenty out of it as well thanks to the extensive solo system. And because you choose the length yourself, from a short game of about an hour to a long journey through all four eras, this game fits your evening nicely.
