44 BCE Emperor Edition

Rome, March 44 BC. Julius Caesar has just been murdered and power is up for grabs. In 44 BCE Emperor Edition you step into the shoes of a legend: Agrippa, Brutus, Cleopatra, Mark Antony or Octavian. There is no clear leader anymore, and you want that spot for yourself. Who dares? Every year the Senate grants the Imperium Maius to the most powerful leader of the moment. To earn that honour you have to be sly. You forge alliances, hatch cunning plans and stab your rivals in the back whenever it suits you. After six rounds, the player with the most Imperium is crowned the very first emperor of Rome. At the table you can feel the tension rise, because everyone wants to win and nobody can be trusted. This Emperor Edition takes the experience one step further. You get detailed character miniatures, an Imperium Maius miniature and heavy metal coins that feel great in the hand. For two to five players aged twelve and up, with enough strategy and surprises to keep bringing you back to the table.
